ABOUT

"Karma Factory's second album is a masterclass in singer / songwriter rock and roll, that just feels good."

Karma Factory started back in the 90's, with a group of High School friends who loved to write songs and perform them.  Back then we were called "Sabre" but even before that as freshman, Ken, Scott and Tim Bowen would get together and create such fan favorite songs like "Dry Heaves" and songs about farts.  This morphed into more serious pursuits by our senior year adding a real drummer (Martin Pitcherello) and another guitar player the late Eddie Class, playing in battle of the bands and getting a gig here and there.  College had us going our own ways, Scott went off to Glassboro State College and then BIT, Tim to Messiah and then Temple Univ in Philadelphia, Martin to Rutgers and Ken first to Mercer County and then to Pittsburgh Univ.  Ed's way went a different path, to doing daring things like race car driving and scuba diving instructor in the Philippines.  In 1995, Scott came back to NJ and started up a new band "Karma Factory" with Martin, Ken and new bass player Matt Twers.

Tim moved to California and got married and started his own projects but through the years kept in touch with his old buddies through the years.  Karma Factory focused on writing and performing original songs while gigging in NJ and PA.   Martin left the band and a new drummer John Lewindowski was added.  Eventually Ken also left the band and the group stopped playing live shows around 2002.   Ken and Scott however came back together in 2012 with new song ideas and started recording demo's through the years putting together an impressive 80+ song ideas that had development potential.  While prolific, Ken and Scott continue to write, record, engineer and master their own music with the help of friends, and will continue to do so.  Love of the craft, from a beginning guitar lick to finished song remains the pinnacle of creativity and keeps the duo going.  They  hope to continue to entertain and bring their style of music and songs for years to come.
